update notice but unable to update

Hi, we are receiving an update notice at our backend:

GK news J!3 Site Template 3.27 4.0 N/A Update http://update.joomlart.com/service/tracking/j30/gk_news.xml
http://www.joomlart.com/update-steps

If we press "Update" the result is Error Failed to extract file: download.php_element_gk_news_version_4.0_type_template_coreVersion_j30

If we go to extensions, manage, install, and we upload gk_news_j3_4.0.zip the result is:

Any suggestion?

Additionaly: we have installed recently other extensions without problems...

There was issue with the exporting of the last version, we released a new version to fix that issue. You could download version 4.1 now.

Let us know if there is any issue.

Tried to update from the backend but the answer was: Failed to extract file: download.php_element_gk_news_version_4.1_type_template_coreVersion_j30

Updating from the joomla extension manager uploading gk_news_4.1.zip gave as result "Installation of the template was successful." so it seems to have worked. Thank you for your help.

Well, I don't know why it failed when tried to update from joomla updater. But after going to Extension manager Install, and uploading the zip file, the response was OK and files were replaced, the message was "Installation of the template was successful." and the site is running. I've not made performance tests but it seems to be working and ok now. Thank you.
