images missing altogether to select from

I wanted to change the background image in Section-9 on the homepage, of an American flag, but couldn't figure out where to find it since it was in an html file of some sort (which I don't understand either) so I looked at the module settings, and I saw where the image was selected. So I used the image selector in the module, but no images were in it! Now I'm convinced I needed to reboot my machine, it can do tricky things to my mind when that happens. But after the reboot, it was still the same. I'm attaching a screenshot of what I'm seeing. Where are they??? How do I change it??? I am thoroughly confused.

I moved the site from an IP address to a dev site I maintain, and have changed the fields above for the site, now under patdevelopment.com.

I am still having the issue with no images showing available to select, but I can enter the name string, and when I do a save, the image appears in the icon box.

The site has the SSL turned on for the entire site, and the issue has been the same between the IP address and the domain name. The JCE media manager works fine looking for images into articles, but there is an issue with Joomlart modules. Or Joomla modules, such as Search.

Could there be a conflict with the JCE?

patvandenbosche I also tried with article but it worked. Could you temporarily disable JCE for testing?

JCE directed me to download the latest 2.9.18 RC1, updated on November 24. The issue is no longer a problem.

I'm sure I wasn't the only one to have this issue. Their response was immediate and precise, just upload the latest rc version. Nonetheless, it's fixed.
