'Template Layouts' Menu Item Missing

The TEMPLATE LAYOUTS option is not available in our fresh template install [screenshot from your documenation]

My developer installed the standalone template without the demo content because we are updating an existing site and wanted to start using the existing content.

How can we enable/ install this menu option? Please and thank you.

That 'Template layouts' menu contains menu items which are alias of other menu items only: Magazine, Entertainment, Fashion layouts, etc... which you need to install sample data to have:

Thank you. Is it possible to recreate these home page layouts using our own data without installing the sample data?

If so how do we do that? Which menu item should we select for the Home Page?

Perhaps more specifically, I know we can use Magazine Layout but I want to pull articles from more than one category – such as is illustrated in 'Gaming Layout 1'.

I think you can download quickstart package of this template and install into local environment / staging site with sample data for reference. You can see how each layout / content is configured and apply to your live site.

OK, thank you. That doesn't directly answer whether it is possible to select multiple categories with the Magazine Layout but it does suggest a way to find out.
