Is it correct that the 'Author on/off' is a template setting and not a style setting? I copied my basic style and now have 1 with and one without author 'on', but I can't get rid of the author on general pages. What am I doing wrong?

When you copy / duplicate a template, under 'Site settings', if you want to have different settings for different template style, you should clone the type of 'Site settings':

name it as you wish and turn on/off Author settings for it.

If you copy template style but it still uses 'default' type, the Author settings is set to OFF by default.

Thnx. Missed this. Just copied the style and saved it with a different name. Didn't notice the individual style settings.
