Purity III: module 'message' position undefined (for one side right column)

Ninja As I mentioned in my post: in my case the one-side-right.php is used, and there the position of the system messages is not defined.

may be its custom block on your site as the same should have sidebar

Ninja the problem is that $this-->hasMessage() is not true, so that the system message position is not defined.
I have to comment it out.

Its not clear what you mean the position is use to show the system message. do you refer its not working on your site? It is not used as a module position.

Ninja It is not working on my side. In case I have a module is on position sidebar-1 or sidebar-2, one-sidebar-right.php is used. But <jdoc: include type="message" /> is NOT inserted, so that the system messages can not be displayed.
I can force that it will be inserted by commenting out <?php //if($this-->hasMessages()) :?>.

Kindly edit fields in first post and submit a temp super user login for staff and page URL which is not showing system messages.

I have added the data for my test website joomla39.loopgroepbedum.nl
The home page in desktop mode has the error.
In mobile mode the error is not there.

The site is highly customized version and the system message used is from a 3rd party tool

Ninja hi, the side is customized, but that is no problem. Also the 3rd party tool is no problem. You can switch it off.
The problem remains with the system messages.
Do you have a solutions?
Else I will continue to edit the php-file after a purity update.

The issue is not replicated in new installation

Also on your site as well the message not showing with default Joomla templates as well. If it work with default Joomla the same work in Purity as system messages from core.

Ninja i checked too, but with the protostar as default template, the system message is displayed, but with purity iii not.
**Tried it yourself: **
Publishing a module on position sidebar-2 then the <div id="system-message-container"> disappears from the source of the template.
Disabling this module on position sidebar-2: then <div id="system-message-container"> is there.

I tried it already. You can set the default template to protostar, now login on site from your Login menu item and see no message on successful login.
