Complete Site Registration before Profile Setup

We are not happy with the registration flow for our site.

current process:
1. user completes joomla registration form
2. user is sent to profile setup for jomsocial
3. activation email is sent

what we want:
1. user completes joomla registration form
2. activation email is sent
3. on first login user is sent to profile setup

Please advise how we can change this.

Hi
If you want to use Joomla login option you can use Joomla user registration menu item.
And disable the JomSocial system redirection plugin for com_user so it will not redirect the users.
Once they logged in they can go to profile for submit the details.
You can use JomSocial force fields plugin as well to force them submit the profile details.

Yes, you can try that bu still best way is allow users to to use JomSocial registration.
