Jomsocial PHP Error

Using JomSocial 4.8.0 on Joomla 3.10.3 and PHP 7.4.27 the PHP error log shows:

[05-Jan-2022 01:11:31 UTC] PHP Deprecated: Non-static method modJomsocialGroupshelper::getGroups() should not be called statically in /home/customer/www/[our-site]/public_html/modules/mod_jomsocial_groups_extended_16/mod_jomsocial_groups_extended_16.php on line 12

How to fix this?

It appear a PHP warning from current PHP version installed.
Can you check the System Joomla global configuration and see the error report is set to Default?

Thanks for the reply. The error is only found in the PHP error log, it doesn't display on the website. But I'd like to fix it if possible. What version of PHP is recommended?

You can use PHP its not error and does not make any issue, these are PHP warning only appear different PHP version used.

The module file you refer is not from Jomsocial package
mod_jomsocial_groups_extended_16 Please check we do not have this module in downloads.

Yes maybe a 3rd party or custom made module it is.
