New user error

Hello,
i'm on Joomla 4 and i'm using quickstart package.
when i'm adding a new user i'm getting this weird error

Save failed with the following error: Data too long for column 'ip' at row 1

As the error says the user is saved but i'm not aware what issues can this bug cause.
Please advise.

It's weird as I just installed quickstart package at my side + install sample data for Magazine, Entertainment ... + then try to create a new user in backend but new user can be saved normally without error like that.

Which sample data package did you install?

Can you please advise me how to reinstall quickstart without loosing my current progress? I mean my users, content, modules and template settings.

There is no way to keep data when installing quickstart package.

I added the backend credentials so you can take a look.

Also on magazine 3 layout that i'm using there is a menu item missing and the weird thing is that it is included on the menu code

i cannot find such module with the name menu-right on the site so the Trending Menu is not appearing.

I followed your suggestion and i reinstalled the Blockk for J4 quickstart package and the error is appearing again when adding a new user. It's really weird if you say that you tried it and it works normally. It's a fresh quickstart installation with 0 modifications.

On the fresh reinstalled version while trying to delete a user a new error appeared.

I'm starting to believe that this quickstart Joomla 4 package has some issues that you must take care of.

It's kind of obvious that it is related with database varchar limit but it's inside your quickstart package so i believe it's not a problem that happend only to me

haonas It's strange as I mentioned in my first post, I did try to install quickstart in my local but I can create new user without error.

i had no news about this issue by your side but i noticed that the error is gone.
I imagine you are responsible for this 🙂
Please let me know if the fix is applied on the quickstart on the download section.

haonas I guess it's from your database, you can try to make a test by installing the quickstart version in local site first and see how it goes, it works perfectly at my end.

Hello again, fresh install of quickstart and magazine 1 with fresh database and again this issue. I tried 2 more times with new package and new database but different layout and still the same problem

Save failed with the following error: Data too long for column 'ip' at row 1

So let's assume that it's my database fault as you mentioned, isn't part of the support to guide me how to fix it?
