hi guys!

please, I think I'm doing something wrong with the main and sublayout configuration... :S

in my template style “MEGA - default ES” I have the main layout (MV-home01) and its sublayout (MV-default01)…

I set the sublayout to show the body component (the main layout doesn’t)… but is not working as expected… the internal pages doesn’t show any content… it seems is taking only the main layout sections instead…

On this layout the mainbody does not exist

It must have the mainbody to show content. Sublayout work on the subpages only.

yes, It is the idea... on the image you may see under the blue text "Main Layout" that the one selected is "MV-home01" thats because I don't want to show the content component in the home page.... I only want to show the mainbody in the subpages layout... so, if in that pulldown you select "MV-default01" you'll see that for that layout I do have the mainbody section... and that "MV-default01" layout is the one selected under the "Subpage Layout" tab...

It is already working this way on your website. If an item is associated to a menu it will use the layout from the menu template style.
let me know specific URL of page if any issue.

first, please, I don't understand very well what exactly do you mean with "If an item is associated to a menu it will use the layout from the menu template style." please, would you explain in more detail?

On the other side... I'm attaching two images so you can better see what I mean:

• LAYOUT-MAIN: you can see that for main layout "MV-home01" is selected and it shows the home page without the content component.... it is all right, that is the idea...

• LAYOUT-SUBPAGE: you can see that for subpage layout "MV-default01" is selected and it doesn't show any content... the page is blank... the only way I get to show content is if I switch de main layout to show "MV-default01", but of course, the home then shows the content component... which is not the idea... I need the content component to show only on the subpages and not in the home...

to check it on the site, just please go to the home page... you'll see the home without the content component which is the idea... buuuuut, if you go to any other page (you may try under the green, teal or blue menu options) they don't show any content.... just the menu... and then is blank page with just the footer... for what I see, I think is taking the layout of the home and not the one for the subpages which should show the content component...

IMPORTANT: please, make sure that you are on the spanish language pages...

It is a menu item Las posadas de Los Roques
Use template style Mega default ES
so it load the main layout of same

The sublayout work when the child item of page not associated to a menu item.

ahhhhh!!! now I see... sorry! but I understood that sublayout was for all internal pages, not only the ones that are not assigned to menu items...
just a suggestion, but maybe it can be clarified in the documentation? because it can be a little bit confusing 🙈

Hi Actually this is normal that it work like this as in Joomla when u use a menu item it means all setting applied for menu.
