Hello, I recently updated the Joomla website from a customer to the latest Joomla version (3.9.28 to 3.10.4). Now sends the contact form no longer emails, if it positioned in a post with {loadmoduleid xxx}. If the contact form is positioned as a module in a Joomla position, it sends the emails as usual.

Modul: S5 Quick Contact ver.: 4.3.3
PHP: 7.4.26
Joomla: 3.10.4

Can someone help us?

    Hi CATSS

Could you share the URL of that page and admin account of your site so I can check?

Sorry i can't do that. Security procedures an DSGVO from Germany.

But, I'll send you the url to the contact form in a PM next Monday. You can still take a look if that helps.
I also noticed that the contact form works as usual, when I'm logged in as an administrator in the frontend. That's weird.

    Best regards
    CATSS

      Hi CATSS

It's better if I can have a closer look to check it directly.

      Regards

saguaros Sry for the stupid question but how can I send you a private message? I didn't find a button in the forum.

CATSS You can edit Fields in your first post and share info there.

So, i edit the information in the first post. I have updated Joomla to the version 3.10.5 and the bug is still there.

CATSS Could you grant permissions of super admin account so I can check?

CATSS On the contact page of your site, I see 2 instance of quick contact module there and it caused the conflict in JS so the form doesn't work:

Kindly check again and disable one of them first.

                saguaros

I removed the duplicate form. The problem persists that the contact form does not send any messages without logging in.

As described in the first post.

                Regards

                CATSS

                Hi CATSS,

I just tried to submit the form and it noticed 'Mail sent' message, did you receive the email?

saguaros YES !! 🙂 I have received the email.

Did you use or test the contact form when you weren't logged in? I mean logged in in Frontend.

CATSS Yes, I don't login and submit the form. It works, right?

saguaros So, i checked it again with Firefox, Chrome and Opera. And in all Browsers is it the same. If i logged in the Frontend as a Superuser, works the contactform look here

But if i not logged-in in the Frontend, it do not work anymore. The "Mail sent" text is also not displayed after sending.

I have cleared the caches in my browsers and on the Website. The error is still there.

                        CATSS

I just tested again with incognito window in Chrome and it worked normally:

Could you clear all caches and check again? or check in another pc and see how it goes.

saguaros I checked again and it works. 🙂 I don't know what you did, but it works. I have cleared the browser caches (and from Joomla) of Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Vivaldi and even the Edge browser several times and the form doesn't work. And now I deleted my Firefox profile and switched to another one and now the form works 0.0

I checked it in the other browsers Chrome, Opera etc in private mode and on another PC and it works. Is this a simple browser caching error?

*I deactivated your account at the request of our customer.

CATSS I guess it relates to cache only.

                            Have a good day!!!
