White background appearing behind article info in blog category view

It is unclear what caused this. Using Akeeba, I transferred from test to production. Everything else appears to be working as expected, but all blog category pages now have a strange background behind the intro images and text. Please see attached.

Use latest version of template and T3 plugin.

ftp info added, as well as initial test site location, which is still functioning correctly (same un/pw for admin)

Kindly download the latest version of the template.
replace this file on your site with latest package file
‎/html/com_content/category/blog.php" in template "ja_fit".
Now add this code in custom css

.blog .system-unpublished {background:transparent;
border:none;}

I actually can't even access the backend now. I'm going to try to re transfer the site and then make that change if it is still messing up.

Update: I re transferred the site and it had the same error. Updating files as suggested fixed it, but I'm still curious why it is working on one site and not the other, despite zero differences. Any ideas?

No there is difference on the new site and load this style code so i shared it as override to make it transparent to avoid the code.
