Wrong logo link url in multilingual Joomla4

Hello,

I have setup a Joomla4 site for multilingual content with two languages using T4 and JA Landscape (url provided in post details).

When clicking on the logo to get the home page the language code is missing from the URL (default language is Greek).
-The Language switcher module adds properly the language code to URL.
-The menu items work properly
-Language plugins have the default settings

saguaros Hello, I have added the FTP credentials to the post details.

I also noticed the following problem:
a) I have associated the Greek Home menu with English Home menu item
b) I tried disabling the language code for default language (EL - Greek)
c) On Home page when I try to switch language from English to Greek I get an Error 404 page not found!

The problem proves to be worse than I first thought:

a) When on english home (with language code /en) I click the logo the language code disappears
b) When on greek home (with language code /el) I click the logo the language code disappears

So I have the same URL for both languages!!
This is an SEO nightmare!

Please check the demo I sent you as soon as possible because I have to get live until Friday!

Basically, when on each language, if you click the logo, it still opens link in the correct language.

For the language code in URL, I just forwarded to our T4 team for further checking.

thank you for your prompt response but your solution works partially: only when default language code is enabled.

When I enable the option "Remove URL Language Code" in the settings of the System - Language Filter plugin then I get an error 404 as I described above (when changing languages).

Please check it live on the website.

I'm a bit confused here as you want to show the language and now you enable option to remove it.

How you want to achieve here?

saguaros I'm sorry if I wasn't quite clear! Let me explain:

I want to remove the language code ONLY for the default language. Which is Greek (EL) in my case.
I have done it numerous times in Joomla3 & T3 Framework with no problems.

So that means that language code remains for english.

please check the following multilingual websites that I use exactly that function:

https://www.capesuites.gr/
https://www.qualityconstructions.gr/

All with J3 and T3 framework.
As you can see default language (Greek) does not have a url language code.
While English has a url language code.

It's not something new....
I use it since 2018.

I made a test with clean installation and it worked that way with remove URL language code option. Something wrong on your site specific.

In my installation I used the J4 Ja landscape Quickstart demo.
Nothing else installed. No settings changed. Except some content editing.

So it shouldn't be a problem with MY site specific.
You may use the admin credentials I provided in the post to verify it.

I have been a happy Joomlart subscriber and advanced user of T3 and T4 for almost 8 years now.
Please don't let me down now.

I had no news from you but I researched the problem myself.
The problem is not related to JA T4 but many users who upgraded to J4 and use shared hosting services are now affected: https://issues.joomla.org/tracker/joomla-cms/35541#event-649950

The problem is related to a special PHP security setting regarding PHP 7 and PHP 8.

The solution is described in detail in the bug tracker post above and involves setting the following PHP variable in php.ini:
request_order= "GP"

In my case, I don't need the logo.php update.
