Substitution during 4.1 update

Hello

After the update to Joomla 4.1, i got 3 messages like this about substitution. Is it a known thing ?

So i can understand the question. The path is for an override for Featured Article menu layout.

in the admin, i have a notification mentioning there are 3 overrides ( substitution in french ) to be verified. If i click on it , i get this, then you can click on the file and see what will be modified

Looks like what it says is that Joomla 4 modified the original files so the developpers should look at the way they are overriding on the flagged template files.

Comparing original files and the template files show differences

Maybe devs should have look at those files before a joomla update kills something

number jumped from 3 to 6 with Joomla 4.1.2

Template use own override for the layout file so it match the template design, the default file of Joomla override does not came with any special style. This is normal to have the override in template. if you have any issue in the blog menu after update kindly share.

thanks for your answer, i certainly misexplained, it is not a style question :

An override is based on the original joomla file. Those notifications say, as i understand it, that the original file changed significantly enough so that the dev should check if the override still work correclty with the new Joomla original file.

I am just signaling it, my guess is one day it might boomerang if no one look at it

The override file would be different at some code removed and sometime extra codes. On each template update our QA team check the layout and if any extra feature added in the layout the same file will be updated.

The notification will show as i normal to system check, if you make any changes in override to show own output it display that is normal as system functions.
