T4 Author Link Needs Option to Override Joomla @ Menu Item

Guys,

When we use T4 author with position "below content" - the Author alias that appears at the top of the article still links to old Joomla contact page.

Can you please add option to override the core Joomla "Link to Contact Page" so it also "Links to author page" where there is content.

We get a lot of people clicking on the top author alias looking for author content.

T4 supports Author Listing page, you can create a new menu item with this menu type so when you click author, it will redirect to author page instead of contact page.

I am 100% aware of the author block at the bottom of an article with the profile pic, bio, and socials - where this link goes to the author menu item.

In my post, mentioned "the top of the article" where there is a second alias that does nothing. Can you please include an override in a next update so that this alias will also link to the author page.

Yes, that link should also redirect to author listing page. Pls make sure that in the settings of 'Author Listing' menu item, you select the User Group that 'Gerson Jacobson' user belongs to:

The author page will not work at all unless there is a user group(s) selected. The author page works. We hav e this running on multiple websites. So let's confirm we know this. The top author alias still does not link to the JA Author page - as I keep stating.

There is no updated HTML override for the Joomla article info/author section at the page top that includes the same URL to author page that appears in JA Author Block. Code needs added inside T4 plugin so that...

IF the author block is active THEN the author name/alias in top of page redirects to same author page as link found in author block plugin.

Right now, the top alias only with have "no link" or "link to author contact page" - set at menu item or global Joomla content setting.

JA Team needs to include an option to override this or add 3rd option at menu item so the options are:
1. No Link
2. Link to Contact Page
3. Link to JA Author Page

In T4 author settings, we put only 2 options: User Global settings or T4 author page. This will avoid too many configuration, because, right now you have settings in Global, menu item, etc...

So T4 template settings, if you want to link to author page, just enable this option in Author settings + create menu item for author listing.

In case that you want to have no link / redirect to contact page, just configure in global option.

I hope this makes senses.

Thanks for the note back. I understand all this. Please note again that I have the author plugin enabled and functioning on multiple websites and know how to enable it.

I think you are still missing my point that on a Joomla article, there is an author alias that appears twice.
1. At top of article by date published
2. Bottom of article (if set here in T4 admin) for author block.

The top author name/alias does not link to author page. Only contact page or no link at all.
The bottom author name/alias inside author block links to author page (we understand this).

We need to top alias to also link to the author page. There needs to be an override as part of this plugin that changes the top link contained in article info / author PHP to also use the same "new" author page link that the author block uses.

Please look at the image in my very first post. I have circled the top author alias. This is the link I am speaking of.
