Am I over-complicating choosing the home-light template style as my default?

The quickstart installed okay using the google drive .zip you provided (in the thread below this one), but now when I do what I would normally do to make one template style the default, it breaks the homepage. If I click on the Home 1 - Light option on the Home main menu dropdown, it looks like I'd expect, but at my base URL, it's only showing the logo and main menu on an otherwise black screen.

I'm exhausted and likely just making a lame user error, so I'm going to get some sleep.

Would you mind sharing some better instructions on choosing the Home Light template style for the homepage and default? What I read on the documentation for this template wasn't super clear to me (but like I said, I'm tired.)

Ah... apparently none of the modules on the Home 1 - Light style are set to show on the Home menu assignment. Fun. Guess I'll go through them all and set them to show on the homepage. Kind of tedious for a quickstart?

The landing page part of this template (that nobody is ever going to use) isn't worth this headache. Just my two cents.

    Honestly, I've put this site on the back-burner hoping you'd be addressing the J4 quickstart installation issues, and this one along with it. Probably too much to hope for, but I've got other sites that need more attention right now.

    I hope this template will get the fixes it needs. This is the second quickstart I've used from you that had installation issues. It's the second template I've used from Joomlart that has other issues as well. I hope this is not a continuing trend, or I'll be forced (for the first time in a LONG time) to look elsewhere for my templates. These issues with templates are causing weeks-long delays in getting projects completed, which is creating issues with clients. Please put all of my open threads on the radar of the developers who can fix them, quickly.
