Multilingual website problem

Hello everyone. Turned off the prefix display for the default language. But in the language switching module, when you switch to another language of the site, for the default language, the link looks like this site/ru/ clicking on it triggers a redirect to without a prefix. How can I make sure that the prefix for the default language is not displayed in the module?

Can you share the setting of the module? a screenshot and set the template to default Joomla and check if the output is different there?

If you want the language code in URL
Turn off remove language code from URL in plugin save and check.
If it remain same I suggest you to post it on Joomla forum as it is same for all templates.
