Module positions on search page

Hi there,

I would like to show modules on the search result page, left and right of the search results. (see screenshot below)

When I select the module positions to show left and right from the component on the search page, it does not show them left and right, but instead under the search results.

I would assume the "search results" is the "component", but maybe I'm missing something.

How can I show modules left and right from the search results?

Yes, the search results will show in 'component' section indeed.

I'm not sure which layout you're assigning to that search result menu item but try to configure the 'Responsive' layout for the mainbody section

I just tried and it showed correctly:

I'm trying to show: "module (search page)" id: 405 on the right side of search result page.

Hi There,

I see it shows on the search page, but it gives issues on all content pages.

The "articleBody" became really slim.

I had to reset the template settings to get it back to normal.

Hi There,

I migrated the previous site and changed the site details to another set up, the details I updated in the field.

I've duplicated the template and assigned "ja_blockk - Freebie search page" to the smart search menu item

If you could edit this template, it hopefully won't effect the rest of the site.

The module is "test module" id 393

If it works, please let me know how to achive it, i can then do the same on my live site.

I did the same steps and it shows normally.

One thing is that you added a column for 'sidebar-l' position but no module assigned to this position so I configured to 'auto' for 3 columns in the mainbody section.

The issue occurs on all category blog pages.

Basically the component width on all other pages, in this case component content, became much smaller and the right module space on all pages became much wider.

I would like so show the module on the search page, but this should not affect any dimensions on other pages.

I've added the url in the fields

Because all pages on your site are using the same 'freebie-1' layout, you can clone this layout to have a new one and configure + assign it for search template style only:
