but when its clicked, it loads a page saying

This page isn’t working
rvolt.com redirected you too many times.
Try clearing your cookies.
ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

So members cannot just join...

Can you provide the URL you are getting in email
The default URL goes to Jomsocial frontend when a new user account is added on the website.

Ninja i think i got it figured out with the redirect plugin settings. ill test a few more times today and report if its resolved.

If it is after Login make sure the login redirection is set correctly and it work fine.
Let me know if issue is still there.
