Cache issues with module masthead

Hi there,
I noticed that with System Cache enabled there are issues with the module masthead:
1. with conservative caching often the background image I set disappears and is replaced with random images taken from the article;
2. with progressive caching the masthead keeps the image but pulls the description from the article meta description.
I wish I could set conservative caching and set NO CACHING for the module masthead but the module doesn't offer this option.
Any idea on how to fix that?

In JA Morgan template, the article page will take the image / title .. of article and show them in the masthead section.

Is there any difference when you turn the cache off?

Hi there,
1. well, I can be a bit more precise: it should take the Full Article Image but it takes the intro one instead. So the intro image is stretched and put as masthead...
2. the masthead description should show up only if you set it in the masthead module. With progressive cache enabled it gets automatically pulled from the article meta description even when I did not set any masthead description in the module.

Coming to your question: yes, when I turn the cache off it works as it should.
That would be helpful to try to set No Caching to the masthead module but there's no such option.

Hi there,
thanks a lot but I am not allowed to give access to the site and I had to disable caching for now.
Did you try with your demo site online?
If you add the option in masthead module to disable caching and send me the "modified" module I'll test it.
Would it be possible?

I test again with both cache options enabled but in article page, it still takes the image of article and so some info of article only as our demo site here: https://ja-morgan.demo.joomlart.com/index.php/joomlart-content/category-blog/5-heavy-debt-humbles-china-s-business-champions-including-the-jewelry-queen

You can share the URL + super admin account and the URL of page where I can replicate this issue.

That's the problem with caching issues, often it's not easy to replicate them, in my experience.
May I suggest as a new feature that the JaMasthead module gets the possibiilty to turn off the caching like many other modules?

You can open the file: [root]/modules/mod_jamasthead/mod_jamasthead.xml (backup this file first)

Look for the fieldset of advanced tab and add field for caching option:
