Image Show GK4 causes Fatal Error on Joomla 4.

Hi Saguaros,

As per your response in my post in the General Forum we have now renewed our subscription and downloaded and installed the latest version of the Paradise template along with the Image Show GK4 module.

As mentioned, the Image Show GK4 module is still only version 1.7.4. from November 12th, 2021 in spite of being included in the download file list for Paradise for Joomla 4 and it causes the site to crash with the following fatal error:-

Please can you have a look into this for us? It's absolutely imperative we get this module working as the slideshows are a particularly important part of our site.

Hi Chris,

Could you access backend of your site?.../administrator/index.php

After filling the login info >> click login, it shows a blank page.

and kindly share the ftp account also.

Yes, I can access the backend - I am logged into it now and it's fine.

I am aware that intermittently it returns a blank page (both in backend and frontend) and I think the problem is with the host. It happens randomly and is hard to evidence - usually Ctrl+F5 a few times / waiting 5 minutes resolves it.

I have shared the FTP info for you now as well.

I can access it now, but I can't enable Image show GK4 module to see the issue. Could you try?

The problem came from gk_testimonial_2 style of Image Show GK4 module, I checked in my dev site but did not find this style, did you add this, right?

Anyway, I updated line 17 in this file:

/modules/mod_image_show_gk4/styles/gk_testimonial_2/model.php

to fix issue with Joomla 4 compatibility for this style.

It's working now.

Override not working in Paradise?
