JA Ego - Menu and T4 Editor problems

Hello,

Fresh Joomlart Quickstart Joomla 4 install of JA Ego template. Menus are having issues, and for some reason my new installation won't allow me to create menus automatically from the T4 Page Editor or regular menu system. System will only allow me to create Sub-menu items, but if I try to move them to Parent locations, I get a error and now my menus are all messed up.

Now menus are all fracked up on the front page, but I'd appreciate some help and feedback.

You can make a test by disabling T4 Page Builder and create a new menu item and see how it goes.

I guess something wrong with your database as when I tried to create a normal menu item type of Joomla like Features articles but the same error appears.

I also make a test by download quickstart package of template in J4 + install in my local but everything works perfectly:

If you've not customize this site much yet, you can create a new fresh database and re-install the quickstart package again.

saguaros Thanks for checking things out and the quick reply.

This is my second attempt at using JA Ego template and having problems with what I'm mixing (template, T4 Page Builder, etc), but yes I'm early in the process. I'll backup images and misc that I've already created and try reinstalling (same as I had to do last time using Ego template for my other client).

Of note, JA Ego template is perfect in many respects offering 4 different models (business, spa, medical, pet) and I'm amazed someone hasn't created an interface that will auto adjust these multi-template designs to automatically setup the business, spa, medical or pet setting needed from the beginning.

Sadly, the problems are probably on my side not understanding your instructions to recreate the base setup, but aren't be just talking 1s and 0s controlled by a database and making these changes quickly using an install script one of your programming geniuses could provide?

Quick update and suspect our problem is Host related and failing with updates to 1and1.com's Database servers.

Reinstalled using Quickstart Joomla 4 Ego build, T4 Page Builder, and misc extensions so far without errors or initial problems.

http://herbsacupoints.com/herbsacupoints using the same credentials as before and /herbsacupoints subdirectory.

Please note, T4 Page Builder - "Menu Creation" fails when I use it on the new interface, but Joomla's Menu system seems to work.

Either way, I can live without the Menu creation from inside T4 Page Builder as long as regular menus work.

Could you clarify the steps to replicate this issue?

I tried to create a test page via T4 Page Builder, then in 'Home pages' menu >> Create a test menu item type of T4 Page Builder + point to created page and it can saved successfully.

saguaros I will try...last installation went as follows

Downloaded and installed latest JA Ego Joomla 4 Quickstart and other pieces and parts not used with this installation
Downloaded and installed T4 Page Builder interface (latest) and reinstalled on fresh Quickstart installation
Test T4 Page Builder - loading T4 Page Builder (initially reports an error when I first load Page Builder), but then reload and interface loads like usual
Test Page - create test page from inside Page Builder, then I add a "Block" from built-in template options, and save test page.
Finally from the main menu - Click on Create Menu Link located right of new Test Page I just created.

and this time it works. Not sure why it initially failed, but thankfully T4 Page Builder is now working.
