Uploading GIF doesn't work!

Hi,

We were running an older version of JomSocial and I thought the GIF's not working might be related to that. However, upgrading to the latest version has the same results.

Running Joomla 3
JomSocial 4.8.1

Enabled gif's and uploading a gif is working too, however when clicking play the gif won't play and upon looking in the console, the _animated.gif version of the file doesn't exist on the server.

So, jomsocial while processing the file is somehow removing the animation from the file.

PHP 7.0.33 with ImageMagick installed as well.

Any Suggestions?

Can you edit fields in first post and submit a temp super user login for staff so i can have a look over the site settings

Also i suggest you to upgarde PHP version on site.

Done! We can't update PHP yet, since there are other applications running on the domain that require older version of PHP. But if you can confirm that is the only issue then I can look into the same.

Kindly check Imagaick is enabled by user it will show in Joomla system information tab

Thanks for looking info this. Even though imageMagick was installed on the server, it wasn't available for PHP. Installing it for PHP fixed the issue.

It should be installed as PHP module not as application on server.
