Search field doesn't show.

Hi,

as the title says the search module/field is not showing up on the site. I don't see any instructions on the documentation page on how to set it up so I've used generic Joomla set up.

You can simply create a new smart search module and assign to 'header-r' position:

I don't see a header-r position in neither default-home2 nor home2 layout template and while in the module and choosing position I don't even see the main header position.

romankl You assigned to incorrect position so it did not display, I just assigned this search module to 'header-r' position and it's showing now. Kindly check.

however on the home page the results are showing up at the bottom of the page after a couple of modules.

I've tried to assign the search results to a new Search Results menu item but it's not working. Can you please help? I just want the search results to open in it's own page.

Actually, it works as it is supposed to under SK language. Even on home page the results only show up. but not under EN version. Both search modules are completely identical except the language and one works while the other doesn't. Do you have any idea why?

Please disregard. I've found the problem. It works now.

However I want the search option to show up in a mobile view as well. Where can I change the setting for it?

romankl With the current setup, I think there is no enough space for that search in the header in mobile view.

I'll make it fit since the login button has been moved to the menu. So where is the setting that controls the display in mobile view?

You can use this custom CSS:

yes that's what I was going to do in case there's no direct parameter to change.

I had to hide the label though but now it works as I wanted to.
