Enable contact form for everyone in contact list

Using J4.x and JA Candidate, I can't seem to get the contact list to operate the way I thought it would. I have 7 contacts at Linden City Hall. Each is a user on the site, as well as a contact. I made a single contact form and selected Show for the dropdown contact list. I also selected Hide User Articles and Use Contact Settings for number of articles to show. I do NOT wish to show a list of any articles for any user! I also selected Show for contact form.

It seems to be fine for the single contact menu item, but when I select a different contact from the dropdown list, all forms go away, now I get a list of articles if there are any, and there is no way to send a contact to a selected contact from the list. Is this something Joomla 4 has not fixed yet? Is this something to do with the template I'm using from Joomlart? It worked just fine in Joomla 3, but this is the first time I'm trying to make it work in Joomla 4.

You choose someone from contacts list, and nothing is on the page except the dropdown box. I need help! The only thing working is the dropdown list box is populated, but selection isn't working.

The section of Event author + below part are from that dpcalendar extension, not template.

About the contact form, I updated the file: templates/ja_candidate/html/com_contact/contact/default.php and it's showing now.

I had it working prior to opening this ticket, but the client wants a dropdown list of available staff that someone can contact. I wasn't able to get the dropdown to work with the form. There is no way for someone to select the mayor or his assistant about an issue they're having. Can you get that working? When you fixed the contact form, the dropdown list of contacts didn't work.

I'll contact DP Calendar about the list of events issue. I couldn't find the setting so I'm not sure what caused it to show up.

Not sure which dropdown is, did you try to test it with default Joomla template?

I made sure the switch was on for the dropdown list of contacts:

I switched to Cassopedia as the default template, and the drop-down list appears:

Then I switched back to JA Candidate as the default template, and the drop-down list isn't there:

Can you get it to work correctly with the JA template?

Can I use the same code in other JA templates where I need the dropdown list?

patvandenbosche Yes, you can use the same code and paste under the contact name.

In looking at the same file in another project I'm working on, using JA Resort template, it appears the same code is in there in two places. How do I know if I've got the right place? It appears at Line 343 and Line 484. Do I make the change of the code in both places?
