Uploading Quickstart

Maybe I have forgotten after many Joomla installations, but please tell me the folder to upload the Quickstart to the server. I use the cPanel for the file transfer. I'm uploading Blockk 4.
Is Quickstart uploaded to the home folder or the public_html folder. Then it is extracted. Does it matter or does the zipped file control everything anyway?
I did look at your docs and they never mentioned where to upload.
Sorry, as this may be an issue of the host company. I've setup lots of Joomlart quickstarts.

Hi Richard,

You can simply upload to the root folder of your site, if you're using root folder, it will be public_html folder.

It's the same like install a Joomla package 🙂

I'm sorry To bother you again.
I got the quickstart file extracted and was able to reach the Joomla start page and entered all the info and Block 4 started the setup.
Unfortunately, the Joomla logo went round and around and finally timed out. Message below.

Gateway Timeout
The gateway did not receive a timely response from the upstream server or application.

Additionally, a 504 Gateway Timeout error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Before I try another hosting do you know what is happening?

This error relates to the server hosting 🙂

Yes, it was the hosting and it took quite a while top solve all issues.
One issue of the install was the PHP version. I'm not sure what, but the install couldn't finish with 3.7 PHP.
It took a couple of tries to get 4.0 working. JCE, for instance, doesn't work with 4 and anything less than PHP 4.
Took all day, but I think all is ok, but I will see as I add extensions.
This is Siteguarding. At least they had a tech on the Chat who made it work.
I probably will use Rochen.
I'm using Joomla 4 as I don't want to be outdated, but I am more facile with 3 until I get used to 4.

At least now I can see the backend of Blockk.

You're saying PHP 3 / PHP 4? It's pretty old now, even PHP 7 will be not supported in the end of this year.

You should try PHP 8.0 instead.
