JA VMProduct Module Error

HI,

I recently installed the JA Megastore with T3, Joomla 4.1.5 and Virtuemart 4.0.4. I am running php 7.4.

When i open up the JA VMproducts module in site modules, It says it cant find the framework. See attached. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with same results. It says there is an update to version 1.1.0 from the 1.0.7 version I have, but that update will not install and gives error. Any suggestions?

Okay, i will give you access.

I am using the latest version of the JA VM Products module I can access. Joomla says that version 1.1.0 is available but fails to do anything, but JA Extension Manager says there is nothing available.

To be honest, this template with Virtuemart has been hard to deal with and buggy at every step. I am never sure what I am supposed to be using for versions. I want to start this one out with Joomla version 4 and Virtuemart for Joomla 4 so that I don't have to go through the Version 3 conversion.

Here is what I noticed:

When I installed JA megastore with the latest joomla 4 and latest Virtuemart 4, everything would install, but I had database table and column collation issues. Whenever I tried to open up the shopping cart items, they would error and give the warning "Collation not compatible between utf8_general_ci and utf8mb4_unicode_ci. I tried reinstalling different versions and different ways, but the end was always the same. In the end, the only way to fix it was to change the collation in the database for everything to utf8mb4, including Virtuemart. I tried it on two different hosted sites and the same. I have not run into this before over many templates that I installed from you.

When I added the Categories Menu to the upper left menu, it appears on a non responsive display, buy the text disappears on a mobile responsive display and its just a black background.

The VirtueMart shopping cart will not display. It will add products and ask if you want to go to the cart, but it will not show the cart. I know this is a third party plugin you are not going support much, but this all may be related.

Your website is not clear or updated on what can be used together, though you state it support Joomla 4 and Virtuemart, though the JA Megastore documentation page states to use version 3 of Joomla and Virtuemart. I guess the questions are:

1) Is this template ready for prime time using Joomla 4 and Virtuemart 4? Or does it have to be Version 3 of everything?

2) If not, from your experience in the support side, which e-commerce template works the best with Joomla 4 and Virtuemart 4?

Hi,

After thinking about this, I am going to switch templates and go with the JA MIX, its acting exactly as it should with not an issue so far. I am fairly certain there are issues with the JA Megastore. Though they could probably be solved, I really need to move ahead. Thank you for starting to look into this.
