Changing hover colors for buttons in Athena template

I am trying to customize the colors of the Athena template. Most of it works fine, but I am struggling with the backgrounds of the outline buttons.

I have tried to change all relevant palettes to my new colors (shades of green), but the hover colours for the primary and secondary outline buttons remain on the blue and red of the sample template.

Do I need to use CSS to change the colors, and if so what are the selectors? Or can I change them in the template's GUI interface?

Do you mean the color of border when hovering button, right?

You can override with this css:

.btn.btn-outline-primary:hover {
    border-color: your_desired_color_here !important;
}

Thank you for your reply. I actually want to change the hover color from blue to green. But I'm sure I will be able to do that using the CSS method you gave.
