Hi!

Can you please help me with the following two problems:

1) After I published the website, the ACM slideshow on the home page no longer works. Now I am not sure if it is because of the ads. On the other hand, I get an error that the file "/media/t4/css/theme.tpl.css.map" cannot be found.

2) For some reason I can't figure out, the search doesn't work anymore and the magnifying glass icon doesn't appear either. The error is displayed that the file "/templates/ja_justitia/local/images/search.png" cannot be found. However, the file is located in the directory. I'm not quite sure, but I think the search was working before the update Joomla 4.2.

Best regards,

Christian

Hi

I think there is conflict with the GoogleAds you added, could you try to temporarily disable it and see how it goes?

I fixed the warning for "/media/t4/css/theme.tpl.css.map" file and icon search also.

Kindly check.

Hi

Yes, you're right, I had to disable css optimization on the platform which provides the ads. No the slideshow works.

I can see the magnifier icon now back but search doesn't work any longer. Index of smart search shows a warning that the index needs maintenance. But when I click on optimize, I get the following error:

1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ')' at line 5

Do you know how to fix this?

Just now I heard from another developer that the searching problem occurs after the Joomla 4.2 update.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Best regards,
Christian

Hi Christian,

It seems that your site has cache setting enabled in your server side. Could you temporarily disable it so I can check?

And share the FTP account also.

Hi

The Caching is now disabled.

It seems that you have extension that force the search result page to the menu item: https://www.mathelike.de/suchen-filtern.html

I tried to disable SEF URL in global configuration in backend of your site but no luck.

Could you check this with your 3rd party extension again? I'm trying to test with default Joomla template and see it goes.

Is that ok now?

Yes, that's ok for me now, thanks!

Oh thanks for the hint, I will pay attention in the future.
