Locations of images

Hello guys, I am wondering if I can keep names of images during migration from k2 to joomla articles.

Can I change some part of code of extention to acheave that or something else.

When migrating from K2 to Joomla articles, our extension doesn't change the names of images, does this happen on your site?

Hello Saguaros, all the images after export are relocated and have changed names as example bellow:
images/joomlart/article/00d9b1e39f02d57be65ad2a9a6eaa3b8.jpg

I am doing this locally at the moment and are there some rules I need to follow in order for migration to not copy existing images and relocate them, instead use existing ones?

Little update on this matter: due to K2 resizing images to small medium and large one, plugin exports those ones instead of original images located in different location.

I've reported to our team for improvement on this, maybe an option so you can select to migrate original or resized images.

migration will work in our case?

We have some sites with 200.000 - 500.000 k2 items.
we have deleted the original images in media/k2/src
and we have only L & XL ones in media/k2cache

With large collection of items like this, you will consider to increase the memory limit as suggested in this topic Our development team are also working on the improvement for large site like this. We do hope the update will come soon.

For now, you can run the migration multiple times until all items are migrated.

Any progress on the issue with copying the K2 images during migration?

It would be nice if we had the option of just using the images that K2 is already using without new directories being created and images copied..
