I am testing the migration from Joomla 3.10.11 to Joomla 4.2.1. The site uses the T3 Framework and T3 BS3 Blank Template. Everything worked fine except the front end broke. It is using most of the styles in my custom.css but isn't connecting to the T3 BS3 template (none of its styles, classes, etc, are found in the front end code). The page layout is gone, although most of the fonts, etc, are there.

As suggested in another post in this forum, I reinstalled the T3 Framework 3.1.0 (dated 2022-07-13) from a fresh download. There doesn't seem to be a recent update for the T3 BS3 template since 2020, nor could I find a download link for it. So I tried reinstalling the latest download I have of it: version 2.3.3 (dated 2021-08-01), but I got error messages: "JInstaller: Install: Can't find XML setup file" and "Unable to detect manifest file."

I'm at a loss what to do, how to fix this, and don't see any more help for it in the forum. I'm not in a position to change to a different template so for now I would really like to get this one working. Thank you.

Hi,
Could you share the credentials of your site ( Admin url)? I will take a look and check for you

    Hi @ptwd
This error is likely related to the hosting's write/read permissions. You can check again in the folder [root]/t3-assets/
I turn off Development Mode in Template manager and working fine now.

Yes, it looks mostly perfect. Curiously, it has lost a few of the stylings but it's very minimal and I expect I can fix it pretty easily.

What should the write/read permissions be in [root]/t3-assets/ that would prevent the template from being missed?

Also, just so I can understand how it works, why would having Dev Mode on make the site break?

    Many thanks! :-)

The recommended permissions should be: file-644 and folder-755
