As I can see that the off-canvas button is showing on screen <768px

Hello,

We resolved this issue.

In the module settings for the main menu in the off-canvas position, the Advanced tab Layout setting had "Collapsible Default Menu" and by changing it to "Default" the menu now appears as it should at screen widths less than 768px.
