For some reason I can't figure out, I suddenly get a lot of font awesome errors. Apparently the plugins/system/vendor folder does not exist.

Did you add this font? as I can see that the path seems not correct so it throw 404 error:
/plugins/system/vendor/fontawesome-free/webfonts/fa-solid-900.woff2

I have stored the FTP information I received from my hoster. Works fine for me with FileZilla. I think with the FF Explorer File Manger in the backend the access should also be possible.

There seems lots of errors on your site now, I can't even change in template settings.
Could you try to disable all 3rd party extensions and see how it goes?
