Main Stream

This is not a bug as such. I am seeing a lot of posts people write in the groups or in users profiles (post on the stream of the activity/group/profile)...they get shown on the main stream as well.
I think they are showing if the event/group/profile is open to all members then everyone has a right to see it and that is how it lands on the main-stream.

I would however like that the posts that are written in the event/group/profile to stay there and not show up on the main-stream..
Any ideas?

By default the main stream will show all activities, you can decide which activity will show in Backend >> Jomsocial >> Configuration >> Layout >> Frontpage Activity Stream

yes but I think the whole crutch here is that it is showing from all areas.....including the groups and profiles I have access to...

Basically someone writes a message on the profile-page of someone, it shows up also on the main stream...I would prefer to have teh main-stream to be standalone stream where no posts from anywhere else but the main stream show up.

If I use the selection in the backend...like status updates....then I will still see status updates from the profiles and groups etc. just not the photos anymore.
I guess I am just looking for more FB-like function to the main stream.

Thanks for the info, as I can see that you're settings to Show ALL in the filter, it will show everything there 🙂

yes....everything from everywhere....and I was just wondering if there was not a setting that would show only the main-stream things...like status updates, photos and what have you...but only when they are written in the main -channel...
for any updates in the Groups or anything else (events, profiles...), would only show up in the notifications (if so chosen in settings) or by going in the respective group/profile/event etc.
