I installed News Show Pro GK5 on joomla4. when going to the module settings, the settings window opens without any navigation from both joomla and there is no possibility of configuring the module. all settings are displayed in a list down without the possibility of saving or any correction etc.

Unfortunately not. I connect to the company's server via VPN myself. In general, I have a suspicion that joomla itself works crookedly. SP Page Builder doesn
't work quite right either. Although there were no problems before on Joomla 3x and the News Show Pro GK5 module was installed and easily configured to fit your needs

And what are the technical requirements of -news show pro gk5. Maybe I have it displayed like this because php 8.x is installed

You can try with PHP 8.0, it's not ready for PHP 8.1

I have the same problem with the latest version on a localhost (Xampp) installation (Joomla 4.2.4). At the end of the page I get the following message:

    An error has occurred.
    0 Undefined constant "MOD_NEWS_PRO_GK5_PROBLEM_GD_LIB"

Anybody an idea what the problem might be?

I just installed Joomla 4.2.4 + GK 5 News Show Pro v2.1.1 but I could not see that error on frontend.

You can put your site online and share me the login credentials: URL + super admin account, I will check for you.

saguaros sorry for the long delay of my reply. In the meantime I tested it with different versions of XAMPP. Here are the versions I used for the test (where the version numbers refer to the PHP version, but you probably know that).

      1. xampp-windows-x64-7.4.30-1-VC15-installer
      2. xampp-windows-x64-8.0.23-0-VS16-installer
      3. xampp-windows-x64-8.0.25-0-VS16-installer

Unfortunately I didn't find a XAMPP version using PHP version 8.0.24, since that is currently used by my hosting provider. And there News Show Pro GK5 works fine.

What I noticed is that with XAMPP News Show Pro GK5 worked with the PHP 7.4.30 version but not the two 8.0.xx versions. Since it works on my server with a 8.0.xx version my guess is that it's either a PHP or another setting within XAMPP causing the problem. So far I haven't figured what it might be.

        Hi all

I use the module with XAMPP Version 8.1.10 and do have display errors in the backend as well. Especially there is no menu.

The error message is: 0 Undefined constant "MOD_NEWS_PRO_GK5_PROBLEM_GD_LIB"

Did i understand you correctly that according to your experience the problems should no longer occur online? Would you therefore recommend preparing the website directly on the online server?

        Thanks for your help
        Andy

        Hi Andy,

You can go to Global configuration in backend and enable the Debug mode + error reporting to see the error message in detail, it will hint which file is causing issue.

        Hi,
Thank you for this. Please find attached the error report. I hope this is helpful to find the error.

ahierholzer Could you backup your site via Akeeba backup extension and share me the backup file?

I will try to debug in my local and see what's wrong.
