Custom CSS and undefined variable

I'm using the latest version of T4 and the latest Joomla. Server is on PHP 7.3
No matter where I placed the custom CSS (on file under local, on scss file under local, on all 3 places inside the template) no changes are happening. In addition, inside the builder/T4 edit framework I'm getting this:

Could you share the URL + admin + FTP account of your site?

and tell me the css code which you added that doesn't work, I will check for you.
