Problems with the language module showing

Hello,
actually, we're preparing our site newrationale.de for multi language content.
Now the language module, wich ideally should show up beside the social icon (LinkedIn) in social position, won't show up.
I tried several other positions as well, with no success.
Another option would be, to show the language flags (de & en) in the mainmenu, not sure, if thats possible.

Any ideas?

I just moved the code which renders the languageswitcher module next to social icon:

But I think there is issue with your setup for a multilingual site, basically, you need to have 3 menus: Default, Menu EN, Menu DE

and in each Menu EN/DE, you need to set a default menu item for each language so that the flags can show in the languageswitcher module.

Hello Saguaros,
now it's working as I made the changes you mentioned regarding the DE and EN menu.
The flags are showing up doubled, do you think it's possible to show only the flags beside the copyright?
This would look good on mobile and desktop.

I forgot to remove the same code in the footer: /templates/gk_photo/layouts/default.php

I removed it

You can add this custom css for it too:

div#gk-lang {
    margin-top: 40px;
}
