Install T4 template where default is Simpli?

I'm new to JA and trying out Simpli template over an existing site. Not having much luck controlling layout. For instance, putting main content in left position, it turns up on the right. Can't limit the width on an article where there are no modules either left or tight, just for starters.

Would installing T4 framework allow me to try that out independent of the Simpli template, or would it conflict? Joomal 3.10.

JA Simpli is a free Joomla template, it's not built with any framework like T4. So if you install T4 framework or not, it doesn't relate to JA Simpli.

If you want to have better layout builder / settings, pls try with T4 Blank BS5 template - which is based on T4 framework.
