On JA Flix, is there a way to add module position inside component section?
I would need this so as to allow inserting of ads inside content.

With layout in template, you can add new position above / below the 'component' only: https://www.joomlart.com/forums/d/30623-adding-a-module-to-main-body-area-in-t4-framework
If you want to add position inside the content in 'component', you have to customize the layout view of that content type you're showing.

It's a bit complicated, I suggest you to find a 3rd party extension supporting this feature
