I checked your site and found that the parent item like Projet, Angebot, ... are also menu item links so when you click it will link to that page.
On our demo site, we use them as heading / separator 🙂
Hello, I could do without menu item links for the top item, but neither separator nor heading does the trick. If I only mark one parent iteam as such, the menu ist collapsed and will noch expand anymore. I also had a look at your demopage. The menu is NOT collapsible there either. And the parent items ARE menu items. But in my opinion the small arrow symbol (#mainnav .nav .parent>a:before) should collapse and expand the menu - it doesn't seem to have any functionality in JA Simpli. Is that intended?
It's also a problem in the normal menu - pulldown by hover only works for the active parent item...
I've shared with our team for further checking on this, will keep you posted.

We updated 2 files on your site:
/templates/ja_simpli/css/template-j4.css /templates/ja_simpli/html/mod_menu/default.php
You should be able to click to view sub-menu item now

Will there be an update soon to correct all the small bugs ? Correcting one by hand often impacts previous mods... :-(
