Various multilingual problems

Hello,

We are developing a website using Joomla! 4.2.6 and JA Athena template and we want it to be multilingual. So we followed the required steps to make it multilingual but we have various problems.

1) If we enable the Use Apache mod_rewrite/URL rewriting the website does not work on frontend: we get a 404 error page. Maybe it is because of the .htaccess file that is not correctly written.

2) We created as many template styles as they are languages but when we try to assign then a specific menu with megamenu in the navigation section of the template style configuration it does not work: the choice can be erased (so no menu is assigned), the selected menu can be replaced by another menu after a few clicks, or the selected menu can be assigned to others template style or all of them (and we did not ask for it).

Can you please help us to solve these problems?

Hello,

There is an error in the passowrd field for the website, we tried to edit it but it does not work. Please use t instead of T where there is one in the password.

Hello and thank you for your reply,

As said in my previous post there is an error in the password field for the administration credentials of the website. Please use same password as for the FTP credentials and tell me if it works. From my side, I checked and it does.

I can log into backend of your site now.

I enabled URL Rewriting in global configuration but the frontend still works fine.
With multilingual site, you should clone profile for navigation and assign to associated template style of each language. I just cloned the default navigation to have a new one called default-fr and assign menu of FR to it.

You can see the FR menu now on frontend.
