Change logo location

Hello,

We are developing a website using Joomla! 4 and JA Athena template.

What we would like to do is to change the logo position on the website: more precisly to display the logo where you display the Quick menu module on your demo website.

What we did (for the moment) is to display a Custom html module in place of the the Quick menu module. It works but we are now facing two problems:

1) The site name (with a link) appears where the logo was, what we do not want.
2) We wanted to change the logo position to free some space on the left side of the mainnav in order to move the menu to the left but as 1) it does not work.

Now we think that maybe we should directly modify the template to:

1) Remove original logo location in order to free some space on the left side of the mainnav.
2) Change mainnav position or/and width in order to shift mainnav to the left side.

What do you recommend to us? Is it possible to modify the template and keep these modifications when updating the template?

As I can see that you already removed the logo and put the mainnav to left side now, let me know if you still need help on this.

Yes, in fact, we still need your help.

1) When you checked the page you did not see the logo but now we displayed it and as you can see it creates gaps: a) language switcher module flags are too high and not on the same line of the top menu (LOG IN - SIGN UP); b) it seems there is a margin at both top and bottom of this header logo so perhaps it is the cause of a). How can we solve this?

2) As you can see the mainnav displays on two lines. What should we modify to give it full page width in order to display it on one single line?

To make the changes that are allready displayed we had to modify sompe template files but we are not sure it will resist template update. Do you recommend us a method to do the same thing and that will remain after template update?

We updated layout template for you.
For custom JA template. You can add your style, layout in folder [root]/templates/ja_athena (your default template)/local/

Great job. The question is can you do it for all the pages of our website because the aligment top menu and language switcher module flags is correct only on the homepages (french and english): on the others pages there is still this heigh/position difference.

P.S. Do the changes you did and hopefully you will also do (we mean for the others pages) do support the template update? or should we first work with the folder [root]/templates/ja_athena (your default template)/local/ as you said in your previous reply?

This will not be affected when you update new version of template so don't worry.
