Blo intro image alignment

Good afternoon,

I seem to have a battle with this template when it comes to blog layouts. I am trying to achieve the image-alternative layout per the J4 core, as it stands at the moment the layout does not even render intro images left, also the image sizes are not correct (see screenshot).
As always I appreciate your help with this, maybe one day I will figure out why the JA vital template has to have a different blog layout?

I put this css rule to show the image bigger:

.blog .item-image img, .blog-featured .item-image img {
    width: 100%;
}

in the file: /templates/ja_vital/local/css/custom.css

Sorry, I may not have been clear enough. I was asking that the image pull left or pull right with the the text aligned next to it, not a full size image. I.e. All I would like is the blog page to follow the J4 rules - image-left, image-right etc..

I think it's sample classes only, could you test with Cassiopeia - default Joomla template and see how it goes?
