Categories and extra fields content not imported

Hello,

I tried to migrate a K2 installation to com_content (248 items) >> "Migrate use Extra Fields".
I have serveral categories and a bunch of extra fields.

I know tried to convert the articles from K2 and the conversion works. After it I have all articles available.
But there are no categories and the extra fields are there but empty.
What do I do wrong?

We use Joomla 3.10.11 with PHP 7.4.
I installed (and also tried the last version published on https://www.joomlart.com/forums/d/43400-categories-and-custom-fields-content-not-migrated-again/12 from 26. Dec.):
Ajax - JA Content Type 1.2.0
JA K2 To Com Content Migration 1.0.5
System - JA Content Type 1.2.1

I checked the extra fields in articles > options > K2 import and replaced the German Umlauts to normal letters e.g. "Förder" to "Foerder" a.s.o.
In the tab "Categories" all categories are shown, but later not migrated. Might this be because of Umlauts? E.g. category name: "Bürgerengagement"
In the tab "Extra fields" all set extra fields are shown, they where migrated but not filled with content.

I would be very grateful for any help.

Postscript: I tried again set the categories with an Umlaut to Ignore and then I got the categories imported.
But still no content in the extra fields.

There is a predefined login, I set the login data in the ftp fields.

do you have any ideas how to get that fixed?
Can I provide you with any further data?

My assumption is that it's because of the Umlauts of the German language (ä,ö,ü,ß)!?!
Because the categories do work if I remove the ones with Umlauts or change them.
But in the extra fields I cannot change the values because the text should be shown on the website.

Hi, olorch

The issue was directly fix on your site with the backup file is migrator-1.php. And you please note, the k2 extra field should have different names to avoid skip extra-field content.
You kindly check again and response to us.

One question: if I do the migration once again, will it work with all the categories I disabled because of Umlauts?

And if all data is in articles and categories, I can uninstall K2 and your migration tool?

Hi Oliver,

Yes, you can run the migration again.

And once everything is done, you can remove K2 or the migration tool. But remember to backup your site first (just in case 😉 )
