We are having some issues after we updated our JomSocial site to Joomla 4.2.7.

Hello,

The first is that we feel that the site is running much slower.

We have tested with PHP 7.4, 8.0, 8.1 and 8.2. but note no optical difference.

Unfortunately we are having trouble updating T3 to T4 and maybe that is what is at the root of the evil.

When we try to update, we get the following error message, see image.
The file we are trying to update with is t4-framework-for-joomla-4.zip.

We need help to solve this.

Hi Jonas,

It seems that you're trying to install Quickstart package of T4 - unfortunately, this package includes Joomla package and sample data and used for a new website, you should install T4 plugin instead:

Hi Jonas,

I just logged into your site and realize that you're using Socialize template - which is built with T3 framework.

So you don't need to install T4 framework, you should uninstall it and keep T3 framework.

If you don't t3_blank, t3_bs3_blank templates, you can uninstall them as well.

Is Socialize template ok with PHP 8?
When will Socialize template get next update, last update was in 30 September 2021.

If not, which template do you recommend that will give us something like Socialize template?

Still you haven't got back to us about the speed whit our site.

I would like to inform you that the Socialize template is already compatible with PHP8, so no further action is required on your part.

Regarding the site speed, I haven't experienced any significant performance issues. If you could let me know which page is getting slow load times, I would be happy to investigate further.
