In my database, the "x4lpd_banner_tracks" table is huge: over 2GB.

That concerns me greatly in it being so big, and wonder if I can "empty" it and if it would harm my site? I have seen on some other sites where it suggests "emptying" the table, but wonder what harm that would do.

The problem I have now is that my database backup (CodeGuard) is running out of space backing this up.

Any advice would be great.

Thank you

Thanks, Saguaros. I did find that post earlier, but was unsure what emptying the table would do overall. It doesn't seem clear in that post what the consequences would be, especially with "paid advertisements" as he mentions.

But thanks again

I think Joomla supports to export Banners Tracks, you can backup first >> check thru all tracks and delete the tracks that are not important.

5 days later

Just an update: since the Banner Tracks table in my php was over 2GB, it would not load the "Banner Tracks" page on the backend and would get an error. I was able to go into my php administrator and "Empty" the banner_tracks table and it didn't harm my ads or the tracking data (it did erase all the individual "Banner Tracks" items that were clogging up the system). I will do this each month to keep the file smaller.

Thanks again
