Hi,

I have been trying to get the megamenu to behave correctly for one of my main menu options called "Solutions". It behaves very erratically when trying to add a sub-menu module. At one minute the menu is corrupted like I left it and other times it will not let me add the module and says it might not have permission. I am attaching some snapshots and I provided access for you to log in to the administrator. I simply want to have the first column drawn from a Custom site module that has text, then the 2nd column drawn from a menu called solutions, and then I will add a 3rd column that will be from another menu that is not created yet.

My other question is there a list of "Extra Class" variables already made for the megamenu or do I have to search through a particular CSS file for them?

Thanks, Michael

Hi Michael,

It's weird issue, could you share the FTP account of your site?

The FTP credentials are added

Thank You, Michael

FYI: You can get the menu back to normal and access the Megamenu by simply unpublishing or deleting the site module using sidebar-1 at the moment called "Test Menu Solutions Insert".

You may also have to do the same for the site module "Test Module Menu Insert 1" with position "ACM-Footer"

It's weird as when I tried to add the 'Our company' menu module to the right column under 'Solutions' menu item and it works:

Could you check?

Hi,

Something somewhere is conflicting and very strange. I proved it by doing the following:

  1. I change the "Our Company" module to the "Quick Contact" module. It showed up on the back end and on the front end.

  2. I went back to the MegaMenu to change it to another module and all the Menu Blocks were gone in the Megamenu

  3. I went back to the "Quick Contact" module and unpublished it. Then back to the Megamenu and the Menu Block reappeared

3a. Then I thought maybe that is because it was a carried-over module from the upgrade. I then made a brand new one called "Quick Contact Test with new made module" and tested that. It did the same thing. Snap Shots are attached, but you should be able to do this and see the problem.

  1. Also, I notice that when Im In the Megamenu, If I remove one of the menu item icons and click save, it does not disappear on the backend, but it disappears on the front end. It makes no difference if I refresh the browser while in the megamenu, but if I close it and go back, the change shows. It's almost like I can make only one change and then I have to save, exit MegaMenu, and go back in to see any changes.

  2. I also noticed that if I add any new module, it will never show up in the Megamenu module drop-down list until I refresh the browser while in the megamenu.

After testing the megamenu for a while with different site modules inserted, it seems like its some modules that don't behave. I suspect this is partial because of the upgrade from Joomla 3 to 4 and then replacing the shape 5 template with the JA UBER template. I finally have the Solutions menu working the way I want after moving menu items from one Menu to a temp, then to a new Menu item, otherwise it would lock up as before.

I still think there is some conflicting JS or something similar based on what happens with changing settings in Megamenu, but I don't see any real errors with Browser Inspect. At present, I literally have to go out of Megamenu after any single change. Nothing updates while I am in it. If I click the save, then select another menu block for a change, no information updates. This appears to be the bigger problem and may be part of the reason for the lockups.

The menu looks good now on your site, if the issue happens again, pls let me know.

I have a question about the current menu, Since this menu option "Solutions" looks the way I would want in a desktop display, how do I get the menu options to display in responsive mode (mobile view). It only shows the Menu Title, but neither of the two menu items (features and Solutions within the menu option?

Thanks, Michael

mwb123451 It looks like you're using collapsible navigation for mobile, this template also supports off-canvas menu under Addons tab of template, you can enable this option and see how it goes.
