Add Image not working in page editor

Hi,

I have tried multiple times to add an image in page editor. The "add image" button does not work at all, click it and nothing happens.

I try and use the media option, choose the image from the image folders on the server but when I click insert it does not add the image.

Any ideas what this could be?

I am using j4 latest version and T4 page builder pro version 2.0.6.

There are a few reasons this may be the case. Often it is a conflict with a third party component. If you provide your logon details via the form the team will be able to help a lot faster.

I set up my site using the Cassiopeia Template before I added the T4 page builder. But now I cannot select the parent menu category for the T4 Article. How can I add the T4 article to my Cassiopeia Menu parent without remaking my whole site?

What you mean by 'add T4 article to Cassiopeia Menu'?

The article built with T4 Builder is also an article so you can assign to the menu item as you wish.

I have now tested it in both php 8 versions on a clean install of J4 and the media button now works fine. It does not work with JCE Editor installed.

I have already found that you have a conflict with a long standing component called Advance module manager and now it seems that you have a conflict with JCE editor. Another long established add on.

I understand that conflicts exist, but with minor not so popular extensions. I would expect that T4 Page builder pro dev team would test against the most popular rather than just blaming other extensions.

"add image" button does not work on any php version and on a clean j4 update. No other extensions installed. So it's not just about conflicts!!!

Very disappointed. Especially considering you guys produce such a brilliant base for templates in T4 Blank

spike1968 We fixed this issue before, pls make sure that you're using latest version of T4 Builder.

If the problem still persists, you can share the URL + super admin account and FTP account of your site, I will check directly for you.

Which issue are you referring to as there are two I mentioned. Conflicts with long standing established components.

Testing the latest version downloaded 4/4/23, there are still conflicts with JCE Editor, media button works once JCE Editor is uninstalled.

Add image button not working. This still does not work in a clean install of J4.

I am using the latest version, 2.0.6, I cannot give you login credentials as this is a test site, using a dummy domain accessed by altering my hosts file.

However I have been developing with Joomla since it was mambo so I can assure you that it has been installed into the correct environment, no other addon apart from T4 blank template b5 and T4 framework have been installed. These are yours so I would expect them to have been tested against conflicts.

The whole purpose of using T4 page builder was to reduce my css work and create better looking sites quickly, yet the level of bugs and conflicts have meant that T4 Page Builder have caused me more work and frustration.

I really like your component when it works but if I keep on finding issues why use it???

I told you about the conflict with Advance module manager last year and yet the conflict also still exists.

I can confirm the issue with JCE editor but you should add image normally with T4 Builder. I tested and it worked normally at my side so I asked for the login info, if you can share a dev site / testing site so I can check directly for you.

About JCE conflict issue, if you're using latest version of T4 Builder already, you can backup this file:

[your_site_root]/media/t4pagebuilder/builder/js/loader.js

The loader file update now makes T4 Page Builder work with JCE Editor. Thank you.

Not too worried about add image button so long as one of them works.

You have another issue with code editor.

Edit html and save - all good.
Edit css and save - nothing gets saved.

Whilst in the page editor there are a number of icons at the top right. One is "code editor".

Click "code editor" and alter html and it saves without issue.

In the css tab if you make changes then press update the change has not been saved.

I have decided to dump this component. Too many issues.

I purchased this T4 Page builder to make life easier with css styling and add a little more extra style to my websites.

Unfortunately I have spent more time working around bugs and conflicts than actually building websites. It will be quicker for me to write css myself. Life is too short and I just don't have the time to continually deal with issues.

Recently updated T4 page builder in another website to find that the backend admin is now broken. As I said far too many issues.

This is the exact process for editing css in T4 page editor.

I am sorry but I don't have the time to be continually faced with bugs etc.

Even in a vanilla install, on dedicated plesk servers that have been optimized for Joomla installs and only joomla and for only my customers. There are still considerable bugs in your component even ignoring the conflicts.

If you want to contact me privately I will happily run a permanent test site and report to you your bugs as I have had a lot of use from the excellent T4 blank template that you provide for free,
