How can I associate an icon (from Font Awesome) with a menu item (with Joomla 4 and Purity IV)?

You can go to Backend >> System >> Template styles >> select a template style from JA Purity IV >> Navigation >> select a menu item you want to add icon and add class of FA icon there.

There are three fields: Extra class, Item icon, Item caption
If I want to put the House icon ("fa-solid fa-house") on the "Home" item, what should I do?

Isn't there complete documentation?
I'm looking at different templates, but it's not possible to go and explore every single row of the CSS to understand how that menu or that box is displayed to understand how to get that gradient or border.
I guess there are variations for the various modules or the various menus style.

Correction, that doesn't seem like the right answer.
If I go to "Navigation" I am modifying the MegaMenu.
Instead, I want to insert icons on a normal menu that I'm going to place in a certain position.
In Cassiopeia I just insert "fa fa-home" in the "Links Type / Link Icon Class" field to make the icon appear immediately.
With Purity-IV what should I do?

OK, I entered fa fa-home in the "item Icon" field.

But I always wonder if there isn't more comprehensive documentation on the specifics of the different variants of each template.

it only works with mainmenu. If I want to add an icon to the topbar-nav menu, how can I do it?

Because I put the class in the "Link Icon Class" field and the icon is not displayed.

Yes, it's applied for built-in megamenu of template only. It doesn't work with default menu module.
