JA Megafilter - Overrides advice please (optical + date)

Hi there,

i have some questions on the JA MegaFilter.

1.) I want to have my own design within the grid and line display of the items, but i have no clue where to find the files to change that. I checked out the documentation for the virtuemart stuff but i could not find the right file for that.

Perhaps you can give advice wich files to create/copy to what place. Thank you!

2.) I need a date-format dd.mm.YYYY for parts of my content ... i found some advice of editing that in the main.js. Can you give a bit advice on this and maybe it would be a great feature to add a property for this.

Hi Andreas,

May I know which content you're using to filter? In the documentation of JA Megafilter component, we take Virtuemart content as sample, with other content, you can edit files in associated folder.

For example, if you're filtering article content, you can override / edit this file and layout:

/plugins/jamegafilter/content/tmpl/
/plugins/jamegafilter/content/layouts/

saguaros ... i will do that for the Joomla content ... can you explain where in the html folder of the template i place the override files?

(template)\html\plg_jamegafilter_content\whatever.php
(template)\html\layouts\jamegafilter\content\whatever\product-item.php
(template)\html\layouts\jamegafilter\content\whatever\product-list.php

Is that correct?

Yes, it's the same with Virtuemart:

Copy file plugins\jamegafilter\content\tmpl\default.php and paste it on folder templates{template_name}\html\plg_jamegafilter_content. Create the folder path if you do override for the first time.

Copy the folder **plugins\jamegafilter\content\layouts\default** and paste it on folder templates{template_name}\html\layouts\jamegafilter\content
