Main Menu is Too Long, Need to fix it

I had to add two external links to the main menu, and it then caused issues with the Search field in the same line on the home page. I set up the links for "MainStreet" and "Chamber" in the Main Menu, and they do nothing! They don't link to anything.

The logo is on the page already so I don't need it in the middle of the menu. What I need is for the items in the menu to shift left, the two external links to work, and the Search field to NOT cover up a menu item.

I am attaching a screenshot for further explanation. Can you help me? Thanks!

It seems that you don't use the head info section of header block but I still can see the code there, could you edit header block and remove it, you will have more space on the left.

What file am I editing? Is it available to edit from the backend of Joomla under Template Styles?

patvandenbosche Yes, you can edit via Layout settings of template >> look for the header block and edit it

I found where the code is you referred to, but everyhthing I did just made it worse. I have the menuj looking as I wanted it, without the extra logo in the center, but the last menu item, Main Street, doesn't work. I disabled the Search module, but it didn't fix the issue. Can you please tell me what needs to be done? Even if I delete the lines for the head-info and head-action, this isn't what I need. If I take out the code from either side, it shoves the menu in that direction. I just want the line to be all about the main menu, no logo, no head-info, no head-action.

You can try to reduce the padding of each item:
